OpenAI has announced the general availability of its GPT-4 API, along with the GPT-3.5 Turbo, DALL·E, and Whisper APIs.

The GPT-4 model, which has been highly anticipated by developers, offers an 8K context and is expected to support a wide range of innovative products. OpenAI is also working on enabling fine-tuning for GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 Turbo, with the feature expected to be available later this year.

The company has also announced a deprecation plan for older models of the Completions API, recommending users to adopt the Chat Completions API. The older models will retire at the beginning of 2024. The Chat Completions API, introduced in March, now accounts for 97% of OpenAI’s API GPT usage, offering higher flexibility and specificity.
